Useful tips for creating dynamic search results

Using specific keywords for dates users can generate and save their results which will be updated dynamically. These are some of the suggestions and guidelines how this is done:

  • Keyword today: It stands for the current date. So if you put this word in a date field it will return results with dates for today. (Sample)
  • Positive numbers in date fields: If you put a positive number in a date field it will be added to the current date. (Sample)
  • Negative numbers in date fields: If you put a negative number in a date field it will be subtracted from the current date. (Sample)

Using tabs to break search into categories

  • Main Search Box – Using this tab the user can search for all subcategories of properties. Further by using the Advanced Search options the search results can be fine tuned to match a more specific criteria.
  • Auctions – Using this tab the user can search for all properties scheduled for auction. The date select box is switched to auction date by default.
  • Preforeclosure – Using this tab the user can search for all properties with Notice of Default issued. For properties with scheduled auction date the tab Auctions should be used instead.
  • Sold to Investor – ILFLS updates the auction results the same day of the auction. Using this tab the user can search for all properties sold to investors.
  • Bank Owned – Properties sold back to the plaintiff will be listed under this category.

Working on a bug in displaying and saving info in the field "Date of Calculation".

By design this field should display the date when the balance due of the defaulted mortgage was calculated. In some cases there may not be information about the Balance due so this field indicates also the date when the Judgment of Foreclosure was issued.
